Blog Post #40- Turning on the light
For my opening scene I have my protagonist turning on the light.
Here is the first shoot:
For this shot, the LED lights being on made it look unprofessional. The scene was overall rushed, things look very cluttered and just put together with no effort. The camera quality came out blurry and unfocused.
To make this scene look more realistic and well put together, the LED lights were turned off in the reshoot and there was an attempt to make it two separate clips.
In this reshoot, my protagonist has the LED lights off and the action was split into different clips. The first shot is behind the protagonist as she reaches up to turn on the light. The second shot then shows the protagonist hand as she turns on the light. By creating two different clips shows the viewers watching specifically what the protagonist is reaching for.

When this scene gets added and editing for the movie begins there is a possibility, I could resort back to the original idea where it is one entire clip rather than two. But as of now the two separate clips add camera shots and a vision. This puts into perspective what is happening.
In the reshoot the quality is more focused and there was more effort put into filming and making it look put together.
