Blog Post #44- Coming together

Editing is almost finished!

TRANSITIONS:

During the editing process a bunch of clips are being put together. To prevent the clips from looking choppy I have added in transitions. The transitions make the clips flow together. These are a series of clips that are put together with transitions.

When adding transitions, you try and prevent adding too much. Too many transitions make the film look sloppy and fast pace. When you chose your transitions, you want to make sure they do not make the scene look lazy. If there is too much the scene can feel overwhelming and hard to stay focused.

SOUND:

When it comes to putting sound in the film you have to cut it to the exact stopping point or else the sound will continue to play and just put a black screen. However, I still have one more scene to shoot before the whole thing is put together and I can finish the little details, reshoots and add in credits. Until then I have the whole song playing until I can confidentially delete the parts of the song I do not need.

CREDITS:

These are not my final credits, just an example of what I have in mind.

For my credits I will have them playing at the bottom of the screen during the opening. My credits are at the bottom of the screen, so they do not take up too much space but are still there. I also need to add in the credits where I credit my actors.

Editing is meaning that the project is coming to an end, with a strict deadline to meet.
