Blog Post #46- The adults

Introducing my Adults:

Steven Welch. This is my dad. When my dad was a teenager, he played basketball and football while trying to maintain good grades. I have picked him to be a person I interview because he was constantly doing sports and homework, so I want to compare his experience to mine.

Amy Welch. My mom did not have a typical teenager, high school experience. My mom's dad was in the military meaning they were constantly moving whenever he got restationed. For my mom it was hard to make friends and adjust to the new places. Her teenage experience involved a lot of moving and feeling alone so I am interested in how she will interpret my film.

Dawn Robinson. This is my protagonist mom. I picked her to be one of the people I interview because I do not know her experience as a teenager, and I am interested as to what it was like for her growing up and how she will interpret my film.

I picked these adults to interpret my film because I am comfortable with them and would be willing to hear their criticism without feeling embarrassed or upset. Picking people to analyze a film requires them to be fully honest. Especially since it helps with reflecting and improving what needs to be fixed.

My Opinion:
For the adults, I think that they will have a different perspective on my film compared to the teenagers. I think that the adults will not understand it the same way the teenagers would. Only because being a teenager now is different compared to back then. Phones and social media have become very toxic in certain situations and plays an effect on kids now, where back then to communicate with each other you would have to use the house phone or knock on your friend's door.
