Blog Post #50- More sound

At the end of my film, I introduce the song "The Less I Know the Better" by Tame Lampa.

Switching songs in the middle of the film requires me to fade "Beach Baby" by Bon Iver into "The Less I Know the Better" by Tame Lampa. I had the change of songs happen in-between a transition so that it would not be random and to show that there was going to be a change in the story. When bringing the clips together I had to sync them together in an attempt to make it look effortless.

This song compared to the song I had originally started with are meant to show different tones in the film. In the beginning my protagonist is sad hence the background song being sad. When it switches to show my protagonist as a new person, the tone of the film is meant to change. The change in sound is meant to show the upbeat and not sad emotion.

Adding in another song helps with being able to tell this is meant to be a film rather than a music video.
This is meant to show that there is a change in tone and meaning of the film. This also helps with signifying a change in plot.
